Custom capacitors, industrial relay sockets, electronic packaging, terminal blocks, and electro-mechanical interconnects. When the catalog doesn't have your part, we design and build it — from first article through sustained production.
Custom component build is the design and manufacture of an electronic part that no catalog supplier offers. RLX Solutions builds custom capacitors, relay sockets, terminal blocks, packaging, interconnects, bus bars, and legacy replacement parts from a drawing, a sample, or a specification.
Most BOMs can be filled from standard catalog parts. But every engineering team eventually hits a part that doesn't exist off-the-shelf — a capacitor with specific voltage/capacitance combinations, a relay socket with a non-standard pin layout, a terminal block with custom pitch, or an interconnect that has to mate to a legacy fixture.
We design and build those parts. Starting from a drawing, specification, sample, or even a verbal description, our engineering team develops a build package and produces prototypes. Once the first article is approved, we scale to production with the same tooling and process controls as our other programs.
Typical programs run from 50-unit annual volumes for replacement parts in long-lifecycle industrial equipment, up to 10,000+ units per year for OEM programs where a custom part has become standard in the customer's product.
Film, ceramic, and electrolytic capacitors built to specific voltage, capacitance, tolerance, and form-factor requirements. Power factor correction and snubber applications.
Socket bases for industrial control relays — custom pin configurations, mounting patterns, DIN rail or panel mount, UL recognized.
Custom-pitch, custom-wire-gauge, and combination terminal blocks. Pluggable and fixed. Screw, spring-cage, and push-in contact styles.
Custom enclosures, front panels, and housing assemblies for OEM electronics. Injection molding, sheet metal, machined aluminum.
Custom connectors, board-to-board interconnects, mating fixtures, and electrical test contacts.
Copper and aluminum bus bar assemblies for high-current distribution. Insulated, plated, and mechanically prepared to spec.
Custom extruded and machined heat sinks for power electronics, LED, and thermal-critical assemblies. Anodized finishes available.
Obsolete parts re-engineered from samples. Drawing package development, source qualification, and ongoing production support.
Send a drawing, a sample, or a spec. An engineer reviews and comes back with feasibility, timeline, and pricing for first article.
